The 5th AVCJ forum in Seoul saw 200 senior representatives from local and overseas private equity firms, institutional investors and professional advisors, as well as government dignitaries and corporations.

Opening proceedings for the two-day conference was Dr. Chang Yong Rhee, Vice Chairman of the Financial Service Commission. Dr. Rhee's keynote address highlighted the deregulation and privatisation plans that are expected to help private equity deal flow. Mr. Euoo Sung Min, Chairman and CEO of Korea Development, delivered the luncheon keynote. In addition to sharing some of KDB's privatisation plans, Mr. Min provided an analysis of Korean legislation and its influence on the private equity industry.
